My Favorite Fall-Inspired Recipes
Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. I could wax eloquent about the beauty of the changing leaves and the sense of endless possibilities that lingers in the air… but that’s not why you’re here. Whether you are already experiencing colder temperatures or you’re just eager to dive into all of the fall flavors - these recipes are for you. These are my Fall favorites for feeding, nourishing, and hosting my people. They’ve become traditions in themselves, and I hope you enjoy them year after year too!
1. The Fall Old Fashioned
It’s hard to beat a good old fashioned. When it gets cold outside, all I want is whiskey to warm me up from the inside out. Enter the Fall Old Fashioned. It’s the perfect combo of everything I love about Autumn. It’s still very simple - as any old fashioned should be - but with a couple of twists that I think you’ll love!
2. Mama’s No-Bake Double Layer Pumpkin Pie
My mom’s pumpkin pie recipe is anything but traditional and is always a crowd favorite. It is delightfully spicy due to the ginger, light and creamy because of the pudding, and perfectly sweet thanks to the layer of whipped cream cheese filling at the bottom. This pumpkin pie recipe is incredibly easy, doesn’t require any baking, and has an abundance of the Fall spices that we love so much.
3. Autumn Apple Crisp
This delicious, fall-inspired version of Shauna Niequist’s blueberry crisp is my favorite breakfast to meal prep for the week. It’s easy, very filling, and pairs perfectly with coffee.
4. Chili as Simple as it is Delicious
This incredibly easy chili recipe is perfect for a crowd or for meal prepping for the week! I grew up eating this delicious chili at home, and was surprised by how little effort it takes to prepare! This recipe is definitely not gourmet in any sense of the word (the majority of the ingredients come from cans), but it hits the spot every. single. time. It’s easy, fast, and always a crowd pleaser!
5. Garnishes & Garland: Dried Orange Slices
I love using dried orange slices to decorate around the house for Fall and for garnishing Fall-inspired cheese and charcuterie boards! Hang them as a garland, decorate an Autumn wreath, or throw them in a bowl as a table centerpiece!
6. Pot Roast & Mashed Potatoes That Will Heal Your Soul
This is the ultimate comfort food for cold weather, and is perfect for Fall gatherings. As soon as the weather starts to turn, I pull this recipe out! Garlic and pecorino are the magic ingredients for the mashed potatoes! Pairs well with a baguette and a bottle of wine.
